After dropping a poop on the shelf you (um…they…the Germans, I mean) turn around and inspect the poop for healthy condition. So there I was ...In Wal Mart with my daughter.

It was in the paper aisle that I started to notice there was an unofficial Sarah Palin look alike contest going on. Unofficial because there weren't any signs posted.

I spotted a Mother-Daughter-Daughter team. I asked Mom if she and her teenaged daughters were doing the Palin look on purpose. The up-do, the glasses, the red shade of lipstick past the corners of the mouth? She said, "yes".

I asked if I could take a picture that would post on the web.

Mom declined. But my interest was pegged. By the time I left, I spotted six more of various ages roaming around the store.

I was reminded of the Diana look that even my wife imitated way back when.

When women start changing their hair style, they're serious.

Makes me wonder how many Sarahs we'll see trick or treating.

WaMu Tries to Sell Itself.

Literally. Washington Mutual put itself up for auction today in an attempt to avoid being the next bank failure.

I tried to balance my checking account at WaMu last Saturday and this is what happened.

1. I called the Customer Service Center and there was no option to talk to a real person.

2. The folks at my local branch did not know how to get and operator on the line. "Press 0####, no wait, maybe it's 0#0#0#0#."

3. When I got a hold of a "Customer Service Specialist" (I still do not know how that happened), they could not answer any question I posed. They were polite though.

4. Wamu could not tell me how much I had in my checking account. They offered the following choices:

a. -73.25 from their website.
b. 46.10 from the phone service.
c. -32.46 also from the website. It changed from -73.25 with absolutely no activity.
d. Still -32.46 after depositing $120.
e. 84.96 from the screen that the Customer Service Rep was using.

5. My ATM card still does not work and they're not sure why.

Yeah. I know. I know. I should've been bloggong but I've been way busy watching the Beijing Olympics. It's nice to see the Chinese put aside executing dissidents and host the World.

I've been busy watching women's beach volley ball. Jesus! These chicks are hot!

"Click here to update Windows Security". Yeah right. I fell for it.

It hijacks your browser. Kills your task manager and reroutes it to a site that offers to sell you software that....you guessed it. Removes malware and spyware.

The good news is you can still use your computer and have access to the internet. The really bad news is that NOBODY at this time has a way of removing this piece of shit. Restoring your computer doesn't do jack shit.

At this time, the best we can do is warn everyone you know. Knock off the cutesy emails and pass this warning on to everyone you know.

The Bush administration charged Thursday that a secret Syrian nuclear reactor was within weeks or months of completion before Israel bombed it on Sept. 6 and demanded that North Korea and Syria publicly acknowledge their collusion on a facility that could have produced plutonium for a nuclear weapon.

Back in September, everything was on the QT. In October, the Syrians used a controlled demolition to clear the site. In doing so, they exposed reactor components to U.S. spy satellites. Whoops.

The Bush administration didn't go public at the time at the request of the Israelis who feared a counterstrike. The U.S. State Department then used this fact successfully to compel the Koreans to abandon their nuclear program.

Rep. Silvestre Reyes (D-Tex.), chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, charged Thursday that the administration had improperly imposed a "veil of secrecy" around intelligence it was required to share with the oversight committees.

In a statement, the Syrian Embassy in Washington denounced the U.S. claims as "false allegations" designed to "misguide" Congress and international public opinion and produce support for Israel's surprise air strike in September, "which the U.S. administration may have helped execute."

Third Grade Murder Plot Foiled

Waycross, Ga. --Relying on an informant, police were able to stop the murder of thirde grade teacher Ms. Belle Carter. The plot by as many as nine boys and girls at Center Elementary School in south Georgia was a serious threat, Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner said Tuesday.

The special needs students were organized. A kids plotted to attack their teacher, bringing a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape, mittens and other items for the job and assigning children tasks including covering the windows and cleaning up afterward.

Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner said:

"We did not hear anybody say they intended to kill her, but could they have accidentally killed her? Absolutely," Tanner said. "We feel like if they weren't interrupted, there would have been an attempt. Would they have been successful? We don't know."

Husband Kills Wife While Installing Satellite Dish

Robert Long of Deepwater, Missouri was installing his new satellite TV in his bedroom. He needed to drill a hole in the wall for the cable running from the antenna. But there was one problem. He did not have a drill.

Instead of a drill, Bob decided to use his .22 caliber handgun. He then fired the weapon from inside is bedroom.

Tragically his wife Patsy, 34 was standing outside and was struck fatally in the chest. Neighbor's children saw Patsy get shot and went for help. She was given CPR by neighbors and family until medics arrived, police said. She was transported by air ambulance, but was pronounced dead at the hospital just after 6 p.m.

Bob thought she was inside with the kids.

Neighbor Mark Lassince said he believed it was a tragic accident.

"Bad things happen to good people,” Lassince said.

Patsy and Ronald Long were raising their children in their rural home overlooking Truman Lake.

"I was in the shower, and the son came in and told me his mom had been shot, so we went up there to see if we could help,” Lassince said.

Patsy Long worked as a carhop at a Sonic restaurant in Warsaw, Mo.

“She was a good person, you know, took care of her family,” Lassince said.

Henry County Prosecuting Attorney Richard M. Shields has yet to decide whether to prosecute Patsy's death as manslaughter.

Lesbian Mom Loses Custody

The Mississippi Court of Appeals, in Davidson v. Coit, Miss. Ct. App., No. 2002-CA-01570, 2/1/05, ruled that a custodial mother's exposure of her daughters to her lesbian lifestyle and her failure to take them to church were properly considered by a trial court in changing custody to their father.

While acknowledging that the divorce court was aware of the mother's sexual preference when it originally awarded her custody (and that the fact that she was a lesbian would not support modification), the court found that the evidence buttressed the father's contention that her post-divorce conduct was detrimental to the children. It also found that in awarding custody to the father the trial court did not err in taking into account the fact that the mother did not take the children to church When the parties divorced in 1997, they were granted joint custody of their two daughters, with the mother having primary physical custody. In 2001, the father filed for modification, asserting that the children (then ages 7 and 9) had been exposed to the mother's lesbian lifestyle and that her live-in girlfriends and the maternal grandmother were raising them.

At the hearing on the father's petition, a family therapist testified that the children had admitted to him that most of their primary care was provided by their mother's live-in girlfriend and that they had been exposed to their mother's sexual behavior (they knew she shared a bedroom with her girlfriend and saw them watching movies showing "naked women ... kissing each other and lying next to each other"). At the end of the hearing, the trial judge ordered that the children be taken to church, stating: "I want the children in church wherever they may be." He then awarded the father temporary custody, pending a final ruling on the matter.

A subsequent hearing was held in 2002, at which the court questioned the mother about her not being affiliated with or taking the children to any church. The court subsequently issued an order modifying the divorce decree and granting the father permanent custody. The court's determination was based in part on its conclusion that the mother was "lacking in some aspects of her moral character," stemming from the facts that the mother "[l]ets other watch her children more than she does" and "[n]ever takes the children to church or any other moral character building programs," as well as from her own mother's concerns about her "motherly instincts," and the mother's "change of partners." The mother appealed.

The city of Las Vegas shut down the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada last Friday after state health officials determined that six patients had contracted hepatitis C because of unsafe practices including clinic staff reusing syringes and vials. Nevada health officials are trying to contact about 40,000 patients who received anesthesia by injection at the clinic between March 2004 and Jan. 11 to urge them to get tested for hepatitis C, hepatitis B and HIV.

Government-mandated universal health care.
This is the most communist plank the democrats are putting forth. While on the surface this sounds like a great idea, read it carefully. "Government-mandated" health care. Not free health care. Under communism everything is government-mandated. If the government has direct control of your health, they own you.

Increased minimum wages.
Workers unite! Under communism, everyone doesn't need an income for the government provides everything. More money for the poor is a good idea. But it also hurts the rich or as the communist refer to them "the bourgeois social order".

Abolish the Death penalty for convicted murderers.
Again, on the surface, a really good idea. However, if the communist revolution takes to the streets this comes in handy if you wind up killing someone.

Legalize Same-sex marriage.
Under communism, the state is the moral role model for the nation not Mom and Dad.
Undermining the traditional family goes a long way to strengthing the State's power in molding our children.

Abolish prayers in public schools.
Under communism the State is the ultimate moral authority, certainly not God. The Bill of Rights establishes that individual liberty comes from God not the State. It is the cornerstone of liberty in America. In a communist State, religion has to go away. The Constitution establishes the Right OF religion not the Freedom FROM religion. It abolishes the State Religion. In that you must belong to a certain religion in order to be a citizen. Pray to anything you want in school. Don't pray at all. That is what the Amendment intended. Under communism the State is the religion and there shall be no God before them.

Legalize abortions through the sixth month of pregnancy.
Tricky. Your body. your liberty. Right? If universal abortion were legal, what would your opinion to govern-mandated abortion? Remember Universal Health Care? What if State compels you to abort you baby? Not such a great idea now huh?

Abolish the Rights of individuals to keep and bear arms.
An armed citizen is the last resort to control an all controlling government. An unarmed citizen is no problem when the State kicks in your door and ships you to re-education camps because you disagree with the State. Fantasy? That will never happen in America? It has already happened in every country that has the Communists have taken control. Think of Vietnam in 1975.

Establish stronger regulations to protect the environment.
Yep, protects the environment. Also suppresses a capitalist economy and provides yet more power to the State. See "overthrow the bourgeois social order".

Legalize use of marijuana.
A stoned citizen is an apathetic citizen. The Russian communists used vodka to appeal to the masses. They also used "free sex", but don't get me started on that.

Establish Government regulation of the oil companies.
Here's that "overthrow the bourgeois social order" thing again. Yet more government control over free enterprise. Watch for appeals to nationalize our energy industry.

Oppose vouchers for children attending private and parochial schools.
Take away Mom and Dad's right to choose what their child learns in school. Put the kids in public (read government) schools and the State will teach them what it wants them to know. Have you read a history text book lately? This is the most Orwellian aspect of the democrats/communists. The universities came a refuge for communists after McCarthy. Wherein communist indoctrination was and is rampant. Must I mention the University of California at Berkley? Thank you. The curtailment and ultimate abolishment of private schools extends this indoctrination to our youngest children. Public schools worked really well for Stalin and Hitler.

Pass stronger anti-discrimination laws.
Sure why not? That way when the communists establish themselves as a legal minority they will be "Discriminated Against" when they foist their doctrine on you. Hell, they don't have to do that. They just need to be Hispanic, Gay or something else.

Oppose extension of the Patriot Act.
You should have no fear of this act if you are a law abiding citizen. If you are a terrorist intent on killing Americans or a Communist intent on overthrowing the Government by any means, you might have serious problems with the Patriot Act.

Support Federal price supports for U.S. agricultural products.
If the State controls your health, your children, your religion and your sex life, why should it not control what you eat?

Oppose expansion of nuclear energy.
Read this as "Control the private sector's attempts to provide energy to the country at affordable prices". Once the State has universal control of the energy production of the country, you want to bet how fast they will build nuclear plants in order to appeal to the masses and keep them happy while their liberties are wiped out. Chernobyl. Enough said.

Support taxes on gas guzzling vehicles.
Taxes, taxes and more taxes. Works for the State. It aquires more money (read power) while penalizing the rich in order to level everyone's economic condition.
If the State cannot limit the money made in the private sector, through taxation it can redistribute wealth so that the State can equal the "liability of all to labor".

Support stem cell research.
Sure. Why not? Remember that I mentioned "government-mandated abortions". Sorry Ma'am. We need you baby for government research and that government has decided that you baby's death will further the goals of the State.

That's a good place to sum this up. If I haven't convinced you about a communist take over of America by using a hi-jacked Democratic Party there is one more thing I can offer.

The Republican Party is not far behind the democrats. Under Communism there is only one party. The line between the Dems and Republicans is so blurred that we are close to one National Party.

Fuck this. I'm becoming a Libertarian.

Extended, Blended Families and Kids

As of the last Census 21 million children or roughly a third live in households where the biological mother and father are not together. This includes remarriages after divorce, couples living together and single moms and dads who may or may not be dating.

Co-parenting is the process by which parents for whatever reason have chosen not to live together and the child is now split between two households. In that, every effort is made to lessen the impact of the separation, shield the child from the emotions of divorce and strive to establish a new relationship with the other parent that is supportive of the child's needs rather than a source of negative stress.

Enter into the picture the new girlfriend, boyfriend, wife or husband. Living in the same household, these new people to the family will naturally form bonds with the children. But are there limitations to that relationship? Many times the new person in the family if they have no children of their own feel an overwhelming desire to become the parent. This leads to confusion and stress for the child.

1. Should the non-parent be critical of the parenting skills of the opposing parent?
2. Should the non-parent openly criticize the opposing parent in front of the child?
3. Should the non parent refer to themselves as the "New Mom" or "New Dad" to the child?
4. Should the non-parent take an active role in such moments like visitation exchanges or discussions of religion, education or health care?

By and large the answer to these questions is no. the non-parent while supportive of their partner should take a backseat to the primary roles of Mom and Dad. The Japanese have a phrase, "The Honorable Unseen One". This is even more critical in situations where the parents are not on good terms with each other or even openly hostile. In such cases it's the biological parent who must look within themselves to resolve their personal issues in a manner that does not impact the child. While Mom and Dad aren't talking to each other there are times when the child must be discussed. Non-parents should not take on this role. "Too many cooks spoil the broth." In a more direct sense, "Too many voices confuse the child."

So what should a non-parent do?

1. Respect the rights and responsibilities of the of both parents.
2. Establish a relationship with the child that is independent of the parenting role. "I'm not your Dad but I Love you very much."
3. Take a backseat during visitation exchanges and times of discussion. Literally. Stay in the car or another room of the home. This is especially critical in situations where infidelity is an issue. The mere presence of "That woman who stole my man." can lead to problems if the opposing parent still harbors anger. The child does not need the drama.
4. The statement "They are my kids now" is not healthy for the child?
5. Never criticize the child's parent if the child is in earshot. Remember that children regardless of age take insults of their parent as a an insult directed towards them.

Following the guidelines of Co-Parenting by all adults concerned has left a track record of success in Blended Families. Given time the children are provided with a larger support group of Love.

WARSAW (Reuters) - A Polish man got the shock of his life when he visited a brothel and spotted his wife among the establishment's employees. Polish tabloid Super Express said the woman had been making some extra money on the side while telling her husband she worked at a store in a nearby town.

"I was dumbfounded. I thought I was dreaming," the husband told the newspaper Wednesday.

The couple, married for 14 years, are now divorcing, the newspaper reported.

In 1986, I married my best friend and the person I was to grow old with. The woman I had my children by. The woman with whom I shared my innermost being with and whom I thought I knew better than anyone. Little did I know that I did not know anything……..

The summer of 2000 went on as summers did, with me working and my wife having time off, since she drove a school bus. It was the perfect job because she could be there for the kids. This summer, however, things were amiss.

We were different…. no, she was different. She was spending an outrageous amount of time on the computer, but I thought she was instant messaging friends and shopping. She was coming to bed later and later each night. I thought it strange, but figured no biggie; she is off for the summer and just doesn't need to get to bed when I needed to. One day, she mentioned she had found a friend online who had a lot in common with her and had three kids of her own.

“O.K.,” I said, “That's cool.” And so she and her newfound friend were hanging out, going out, and having a grand ol' time. (Oh, how dumb and foolish I feel now.)

One night, we planned to get together with some friends from church at a local restaurant that had a little band. My wife met me there, showing up with “the friend.”

I was not feeling well and after dinner said we should go home. She told me to go home; she would stay. I went home, fell asleep, and woke about 2:00 am. My wife was not home, it was unlike her to be out that late, and she was not answering her cell phone. I feared something had happened.

I drove back to the restaurant as they were closing. I knew a guy in the band and asked if he had seen my wife. He went silent and then said he needed to tell me something. He then proceeded to tell me how MY WIFE, THE MOTHER OF MY CHILDREN had seductively danced, made out with, and carried on with her “friend.”

I was sick and stunned. I went home and waited. When she showed up I asked her what the hell was going on and said I had spoken with the guy in the band. She broke down, said she was drunk and confused, and the friend made a move on her. I asked her what else took place, and she swore that there was no more than the kissing. I threw her pillow and blanket out of our bedroom, locked myself in, and went to sleep. That was August 15, 2000.

The next morning, I thought long and hard about my vows and the kids and everything we had been through and decided not to throw away 14 years due to a mistake. I told her how I felt and that we would work through this. “But,” I said, ”there is no way that you are ever to see or talk to that 'friend' ever again.”

She agreed. As days went on, she tried negotiating various ways of allowing contact with her friend, via email or instant message, and I said no way. Her next step was to get nasty. She told me I had no right to tell her who she could and could not see. I told her, “Either you want to be married to me or you want to be with her, but you cannot have it both ways. If you want the latter, pack your bags and leave, but understand that once you walk out that door, you will never come back.”

On September 1, 2000, she did just that. With no warning or chance to explain to our kids, she packed her bags, told them she was leaving, and asked them to do the same. They were, needless to say, shocked and stunned and crying. They refused to go with her (and for that I will be eternally grateful) and off she went. When the screen door shut, I realized that our lives had just changed forever.

My wife died that day. The person I married, who was caring and thoughtful and loved our kids, was no longer here. Her face and body were evident, but all shards of that woman were gone. She became erratic and moody with severe emotional swings, and her parental sense was completely gone. She was so self absorbed that she thought only of herself and her newfound life as a lesbian. Our kids were made to take it or leave it. Their first weekend with her she took them to the now-girlfriend's house.

I filed for divorce and began a four-year battle. She told the neighbors she left because I beat her. She called the police and said them same thing. She accused me of a gay relationship when I invited a man and his two kids to live with us after their home burned down and they had no place to live. She broke into the family home several times by kicking the door in, tried opening credit cards in my name so she could use them, and caused irreparable harm to both kids. My daughter has not spoken to her mother in over six years. My son sees her once a week for two hours. This is the extent of her relationship with her children now.

I am happy to say I retained custody of both kids -- unheard of in my conservative county where mothers are almost always granted custody -- and got to keep the house.

Now I am a 44-year-old single dad of two teenagers. While I would not trade this for anything, I am angered that I was put in this position. She walked away leaving me not only to pick up the pieces, but also to mend them and heal our children, try to be a mother figure in some form, and wonder what will become of my life now. I do not communicate with her unless it's necessary and related to the kids and only through email. I will never forgive her for what she has done to me but mostly what she did to two wonderful kids who deserved none of this.

And they're off an running! For real this time. As we bid a fond farewell to 2007 and the "pre-electioneering" the real primaries have started. Iowa has held it's Caucus and it looks like Obama will be our next President. No need to consider the Evil Republicans. Why hold a national election? Iowa has Spoken!!!

Or so we have been led to believe by the News Babes on T.V.

The big news is that Hillary lost. Okay, third place isn't exactly losing. But it's definitely not winning. Isn't she ordained to be the first woman President. Didn't she have all that experience in the Clinton White House? Sadly she didn't let out a Dean-Like screech. At least not in front of the news cameras. Remember, this is the Hillary that launched a vase at President-Elect Clinton when she found out she would not ride with him to the Inaugural and had to ride in the "women's car" with Barbara Bush.

Trying to Keep Christmas Well

Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" is probably my most favorite story. Each year I read it or watch it (George C. Scott is in my opinion the best) to remind myself to keep Christmas well.

This year has been especially hard. I was even trying to reach out to the freshly minted ex-wife and be kind at Christmas. She hasn't made it easy.

My Dad died a year and half ago and I hadn't cried. My wife left me for another woman and we divorced and I didn't cry. That's odd. I am a crier you see. Last week end we were doing prisoner exchange. "Walk towards you Mother." Her bitchy little control freak self never makes it easy. Her girl friend seems to have to always be there and the ex always puts up attitude to prove how much of an asshole I am. Anyway. I was trying to keep the Christmas Spirit. She was being a bitch and by the time I got home... Well I guess it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I started to cry. It roared for 40 minutes. You know what? After I stopped I felt cleansed. Like after a good hot shower.

Yeah I'm a crier and I'll probably live longer for it.

In the long run maybe she gave me an unexpected Gift. She feels that Christmas is a "Festival of Greed". But no. It's a festival of Giving and Loving and Kindness. Even in the face of Scroogy
attitudes and down right meanness. That's when it really counts.

So here's a Christmas wish from me to you (and her too). That the Season finds you keeping Christmas well. Celebrate with random acts of kindness and and unthinkable Love. Without having to be visited by ghosts.

Call of Duty 4- The Lost Weekend

I finally got "Call of Duty 4" to work relatively well on the 'ol computer. After spending a week loading and reloading it, downloading drivers, updating DirectX and buying a new goddamned video card. Attention NIVIDA owners. Download driver 1.6909 and everything will be all right.

I got everything running yesterday at about 4 AM. Starting playing the online multiplayer game and took breaks to clean the house. By 1 AM Sunday, the house was spotless. I took a combat nap and was up again at 4 AM again. Have to remember to buy food today.

A hope and a prayer that our Troops overseas do not have to spend their Christmas like this.

Technically, "Pimp my Sukhoi". On November 25, 2007, the Russian Air Force accepted it's first batch of upgraded Sukhoi-24 fighter bombers. The Su-25 is the Soviet response to the American F-111. Having been in service for 32 years, it now sports the latest electronics and gadgets. Flat screen instruments, GPS and smart bombs are just some of the improvements.

While the upgraded Sukhoi is another step in Russian President Putin's path to making Russia a military superpower again, it also gives credence to another concern in the West. Take a look at this MiG-25.To prevent capture or destruction during Desert Storm, the Iraqis buried this MiG-25. Designed in the 1960's it was long feared as a "premier" fighter. It has since been reduced to an airborne target for Western fighters. Or so we thought. The MiG pictured in the picture above looks like a MiG-25 but it has been "pimped" as well. Old on the outside, everything inside is new. Electronics, engines, weapons. All courtesy of the French. This gives rise to speculation about how helpful the French have been.

Consider the plight of the Iranian F-14 Tomcats. Back in the 1970's the U.S. sold a bunch of Tomcats to the Shah of Iran. He was deposed and the planes fell into the hands of the Mullahs. Rumors abound of how the American technicians sabotaged the weapon systems before they were kicked out of the country. Coupled with a parts embargo by the U.S. this reduced the Iranian F-14 fleet to museum pieces. The last time they were used in combat was during the Iran/Iraq war of 1980 and even then they were used as airborne controllers rather than weapons.
In light of the upgrade of the Sukhoi and the story of the "Buried MiG", a question has to asked. Have the Iranians upgraded their Tomcats? Intelligence estimates are still guarded. A F-14 "pimped" by the French (or Russians) poses a real challenge to the U.S. and her allies.

Red Chinese Sub Surprises USS Kitty Hawk

November 10, 2007-Oh shit! The aircraft carrier U.S.S. Kitty Hawk (CV-63) was in the Pacific, conducting an exercise with her battle group. On day two of the exercise she got a rude surprise from an uninvited guest.

A Song class submarine of the Chinese navy penetrated the defenses of the battle group and surfaced within visual range of the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk. The sub had remained undetected throughout it's approach. This placed the U.S. carrier well within the range of the sub's Yu-4 torpedo es and her Yingji-82 anti-ship missiles.

The Song class is a recent Chinese design with the flag ship first putting to sea on 25 May, 1994 (pennant number 320). The Chinese Navy has launched three of these boats, the last one in November 2003.

The advanced design of the sub, some intelligence officials have noted has benefitted from the transfer of U.S. techonolgy to China during the Clinton Administration.

The incident led to tense diplomatic exchanges, with shaken American diplomats demanding to know why the submarine was "shadowing" the U.S. fleet while Beijing pleaded ignorance and dismissed the affair as coincidence.

The U.S. Navy has been given a serious wake up call.

My Husband is Staying at Disneyland

Anaheim, Calif.- Disneyland temporarily shut down the popular "The Pirates of the Caribbean" ride when park officials noticed a woman pouring an unknown powder into the water. When questioned, the woman said it was "baby powder".

It is suspected that this is another example of visitors leaving the ashes of their loved ones at the popular amusement park. Disneyland Resorts spokesman Rob Doughty said he couldn't confirm that.

"It used to happen every once in a while at the Haunted Mansion, but now it's happening more."

Without written permission, it's a misdemeanor violation of the state Health and Safety Code to scatter human ashes on private property, but enforcement is difficult. Officials say the ashes pose no health threat.

"I can tell you that we do get people from time to time asking for permission to sprinkle ashes. Our policy is when we are asked for permission, we deny the request," Doughty said. "Beyond that, we don't know."

While you screaming "Hell No!", I might take a little time to give you some history. I was stationed in Germany from 1985 until 1990. When I got there, the Deutchmark was doing pretty good and you had to show your passport (or military I.D.) to cross the border into France or Belgium.

The DM was at it's high point in 1985 and declined steadily until I left. As talk about a European Union grew, the passport checkpoints were dropped. You could then blow right across the French border at about 100mph.

The family took advantage of this one weekend and went to Luxembourg. I wanted to go to the American Cemetery there and visit Patton's grave. While there we had lunch in Luxembourg City. After lunch we did some sight seeing and came across the Capitol Building for the United States of Europe. I was impressed with the flag.
In 1990 as I was leaving Europe there was talk of the Euro. A common European currency that France and The United Kingdom were fighting against, tooth and nail. As you might know, the Euro is now the single currency in Europe.

So much for the history lesson. Almost. By now you might be getting the feeling you've heard of this somewhere before. Does the term NAFTA sound familiar? The North American Free Trade Agreement allows for international trucking to travel unrestricted from Mexico to Canada. Sound familiar?

Now here comes the Amero.

For now it's a hypothetical currency. The proposed single currency for North America. It is the idea of Canadian conservative Herbert G. Grubel.
Is the Amero the next logical step in the creation of the North American Union? I think so. I also think not enough people are taking this seriously. Like the frog slow boiled in the pot, the Globalization of the U.S. is coming at us slowly, incrementally like it was in Europe.

Have faith True Believers! There are a couple of significant obstacles for implementing the European model here in good 'ol North America.

1. The U.S. Constitution forbids the use of foreign currency in Article 1, Section 8; which states that the United States Congress has the right to “coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures;”. The U.S. Constitution has to be rewritten or weakened.

2. The U.S. Dollar is currently the defacto international currency. The U.S. Dollar needs to be weakened. This already happening. Read more about this.

3. The American citizenry is armed courtesy of the Second Amendment. An armed revolt is a distinct possibility should any attempt be made to abolish the Constitution and fold the U.S. into a North American Union. The U.S. public needs to be disarmed. Keep this in mind the next time the gun debate is in the news.

At this point the Amero remains hypothetical but is also on the edge of becoming a reality. The coins pictured here are parodies designed by Daniel Carr. Carr offers these parodies to focus attention on the debate for and against the Amero. He urges, as do I that the U.S. public voice their opinions whatever they may be about the Amero.

I am against the Amero in theory and application. I fear that it is a harbinger of attempts to destroy the Constitution and subvert the U.S. into the One World Order .

It's nice to to read a good website over morning coffee. This happened today when fellow stumbler DeMerchant sent me his site. Awash in a sea of the meaningless emo flotsum of MySpace and YouTube, StumbleUpon is an island of quality. Sometimes. As it has gained in popularity, Stumbleupon has had its share of flotsam. Demerchant heads the nail on the head in his self-proclaimed rant and is trying to separate the chaff from the wheat. His point is, "Are you a good Stumbleupon friend?" Do you really share common interests? Do you take the second and give a "Thumbs Up" to pages your friends share with you? Do you exchange ideas by leaving reviews? Or are you just mindless surfing and couldn't care less one way or another.

If you have taken the time to read this post to this point, you're a good candidate to take the time to review it on Stumbleupon. Or at least give it a thumbs up. You'll find the icon conveniently placed at the end of this post. A feat that took me a whole morning to figure out how to program (Thank you).

Along with stumbleupon, I've got a couple of other blogs and pages out there on the web. As a publisher, I'm always looking for the "Hat Trick". That is to say, a thumbs up, a stumble review and a comment on the blog. As a stumbler I do not lose sight that Stumbleupon is a Social Website. Kind of a MySpace for thinking people, dare I say adults. I have had better conversations sending pages back and forth here than anywhere else. Well except for my forum. So get with it people. A thumbs up is nice but I really want to know what you are thinking.

Washoe, a Chimp of Many Words, Dies at 42

It was announced on October 31, 2007 that Washoe an African chimpanzee was dead at the age of 42.

"So what?", you might ask. Washoe was a special chimp. She could talk. No, not like "Planet of the Apes". She was taught to used American Sign Language.

Over the years, her vocabulary expanded. She also "made up" words. Swan, for instance was "water bird". Watermelon was "drink food". She had a life long fascination with shoes. She would always check out the shoes worn by visitors to her compound.
She'd chat about them and their color and such.

When she finally mated, researchers were keen to see if she would teach ASL to her offspring. On one amazing day, researchers were entering her compound to check on her and her babies. They were startled when her mate became enraged and charged them. An enraged full grown male chimp is a fearsome, dangerous thing. Don't confuse them with baby chimps wearing hats.

As a reflex, a researcher flashed the sign for "stop" and to their amazement the male stopped dead in his tracks. Taking the opportunity, the researcher signed "What's wrong?" The male then signed, "Babies sick, Washoe upset".

In addition to teaching her mate, Washoe did indeed go on to teach her children. But she remained the most "talkative" of the troop.

She was named for Washoe County, Nevada, where she was raised and taught to use ASL.

After a short illness. Washoe died in bed at age 42, surrounded by staff members and other primates who had been close to her.

Washoe had lived at Central Washington University since 1980; on October 31, 2007, officials from the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute on the CWU campus announced that she had died the previous day.

Is a Second More Deadly 9/11 Now In the Works? There are good reasons to believe so

As you know, a B-52 bomber was equipped with six nuclear warheads mounted on Advanced Cruise Missiles and then flown from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota to Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana on August 30. They were mounted on the wings of the bomber.

According to Michael Madsen's sources, a group of officers within the US Air Force became aware of the theft of these missiles and their nuclear warheads and intercepted them at Barksdale.

After this event somehow leaked to the media, the White House apparently scrambled to concoct a story to account for the theft. They came up with a lulu. They told us it was all a 'mistake'. The six nuclear warheads had been mistakenly mounted on Advanced Cruise Missiles, which were then mistakenly mounted on the wings of the B-52, and then mistakenly flown to Louisiana. If we are to believe the White House's absurd story, nobody among the crew of the bomber was even aware of the deadly cargos attached to the wings of their aircraft.

Wayne Madsen has reported that the nukes were destined for Iraq, but were intercepted by renegade officers of the US Air Force who are opposed to attacking Iran with nuclear warheads in a plan that was devised and was being allegedly overseen by Dick Cheney. According to Madsen, a U.S. attack on Iran using nuclear weapons was scheduled to coincide with Israel's September 6 air attack on a reputed Syrian nuclear facility in Dayr az-Zwar in northern Syria. The interception of the nuclear warheads apparently caused the White House cabal to defer an American coordination with the Israeli attack until such time as the problem of the intercepted nukes was resolved on the domestic front.

The activist group Citizens for Legitimate Government has come up with an astounding revelation that has been ignored by our controlled media. A spokesperson for the group has indicated that six members of the US Air Force who were directly involved in loading or transporting the missiles, were killed within 7 days of the Barksdale interception. Their deaths have been ruled 'accidents'. I repeat, these deaths happened within 7 days of the incident! The odds against this happening are mind boggling.

The victims according to CLG include Airman First Class Todd Blue, 20, who died while on leave in Virginia. A husband and wife from Barksdale Air Force Base were killed on Shreveport-Blanchard Highway while riding a motorcycle. Adam Barrs, a 20-year-old airman from Minot Air Force Base was killed in a crash on the outskirts of the city. First Lt. Weston Kissel, 28, a Minot Air Force Base bomber pilot, was killed in a motorcycle crash in Tennessee. Police found the body of a missing Air Force captain John Frueh near Badger Peak in northeast Skamania County, Washington.

It has been surmised by many that those directing the nuclear thefts embarked on a cleanup operation to silence any persons who were not part of the conspiracy but had knowledge of exactly what had gone down at Minot and Barksdale Air Force Bases. It defies common sense to come up with any other explanation for the six deaths, a figure that may already be out of date. Any further deaths may quite possibly be kept from the media. Read More.
